Mother of Dragons tshirt inspired by Game Of Thrones

I'm obsessed with this photo of world's-most-adorable Drew Barrymore and her two daughters in this cool Mother of Dragons tshirt (inspired by Game of Thrones)!

It's not anything close to Australian design, but I can't resist Drew with her messy ponytail, comfy jeans, and great lipstick and those two babies on her hips (a pose I remember well!). I also remember that that wasn't an easy time, and I was constantly reaching down to channel my inner Daenerys Targaryen.

So this pic is an homage to all of you out there being Mothers of Dragons. Have a great weekend! (Oh, and on top of that, lovely Drew is using this pic to promote sale of the tee (and other merchandise) with the slogan, with all proceeds going to help foster kids in LA. You can find the Mother of Dragons tshirt right here.)

The Dharma Door fair trade hessian sacks and buckets for toy storage

Are toys a disaster zone at your place too? We have two ugly white plastic tubs that I desperately need to repurpose for camping and replace instead with these super-stylish fair trade hessian sacks and buckets from The Dharma Door. Both designs are made from natural hessian and original hand-printed fabrics or recycled kantha-stitched sari fabric and every piece is handmade.

Oh, while I was on the Hunting for George website I found and fell madly for this confetti door mat. It's all yellow triangles on slate grey and I'm obsessed. Would look amazing with a black front door.

Stripe felt wool rugs for kids rooms from Happy As Larry Designs + WIN!

Felt is such a cosy, welcoming material and so soft underfoot. You've probably already seen felt ball rugs in all the cool kids' bedrooms; Bondville sponsor Happy as Larry Designs has launched a collection of hot new stripe felt rugs in two gelato-fresh colourways.

The Raspberry Ripple rug with fuchsia (so on-trend right now!), chooclate, vanilla and banana stripes is $289. Pair this rug with the looks-great-with-everything three metre Felt Ball Garland in a rainbow of colours for $34.95.

The Lemonade Twist rug ($289) would work well for both boys' and girls' rooms with its aqua, snow and lemon stripes. Add a cool Felt Kite decoration for $44.95 and super-cute Felt Teddy Bear for $44.95 to cosy up a child's room.

Both 80cm x 120cm rugs are designed in Australia by Amy from Happy as Larry Designs who has a Fine Arts degree in textiles. They are then handmade with love and care by Amy's carefully selected artisans in Nepal with heavily felted 100% New Zealand wool. The collaboration results in beautifully crafted and innovative designs that are made to last.

Amy is giving one lucky reader a chance to WIN one of the two new stripe rugs! Head to the Happy as Larry Designs website to enter. Entries close 24th May 2014.

I got Mum this Kim Wallace Ceramics bowl for Mother's Day

Yesterday I visited my friend Kim Wallace at her ceramics studio on the Sunshine Coast for a catch-up and a lovely lunch. We chatted as Kim stamped a few of her pieces and talked about colour trends and her whopping 300-bowl order for Matt Moran's new restaurant. So fun! Thank you Kim!

I was also there to pick up a Mother's Day gift for my Mum and fell for this shallow bowl - one of the new pieces from her Ebb Tide collection. I can't wait to see what Mum thinks.

You can find Kim Wallace ceramics in the online store. Watch out for a huge sale this week on the Vintage Lace collection - get in quick.

I was lucky to try Soder Tea at a kikki.K event recently and it is lovely - a floral black tea which I took with a dash of milk. I've been dying for the in-store release!
