Quinn's 1st Party Animal Birthday Party

Gosh. This is one of the best parties I have seen for a little boy in a long time. Little Quinn's Mum Kara put together a beautiful event that's colourful without being fussy. Party Animals is a great theme for a one-year-old and opens up a whole range of colour options. I love that Kara has taken the confetti theme throughout from cake, to garlands, invitation and table decorations; and that touch of metallic adds some pizzazz. The food looks amazing too. Read on for Kara's tips to pull together a Party Animal birthday party...

Party: Quinn's 1st birthday party
Location: Point Cook, Melbourne
Theme: Party Animals
Organised by: Mum Kara

Invitation: Party Animal invitation by Mum Kara (Play Nice on Etsy)

Cake: Made by Mum Kara - banana cake, cream cheese icing and party animals on top.

Party food: Mini pizzas, mini meatballs, sandwich points, salads, Lebanese bread, pita bread chips, antipasto platter, fruit platter, pavlova, party sweets, fruit punch, pink lemonade.

Decorations: We carried the polka dots through - garlands, on the happy birthday sign, on the cake, matched the balloon colours to the polka dots, No 1 photo collage of our favourite photos from the year.

Birthday Boy Wears: Country Road, Seed.

Games/activities: Baby jumping castle for the little ones to play on.

Party Gift/Favour: jars with party animals on top, sprayed in coordinating colours and filled with M&Ms.

Tips: Having a photographer was great as I didn't have to worry about taking pictures.

Something special: A special appearance by Avery The Owl, from The Puppet Box.

Thank you Kara for sharing your son's gorgeous party. For more Real Australian Kids' Parties, head to the party page here on Bondville.
