These are trade-only shows for retailers and buyers, but I'm happy to share with you the inside scoop on some of the great products on offer this year. Read on for my pick of the show including great Australian children's decor, stationery, artwork and other fun products and gifts for kids:
1. First up - the amazing kids' decor products from Melbourne's Homely Creatures. Emma Patterson can do no wrong with her gorgeous stools, knitted cushions (every single design is cool), and the most amazing modern doll's house, incredibly styled in miniature. So good!
Beep Bicycle Bells - cool retro-style bicycle bells hand-painted in Newcastle - great for bikes and scooters.
Laikonik in collaboration with Laura Blythman. Stunning letterpressed owl or fox design with copper linework and pastel peach highlights, packaged in a beautiful timber box. A great keepsake.
'lil Fairy Door. How cute would these mini doors look on a tree in the garden! My kids would love them.
Mister Moss in bright colours to hang or display on bedside tables - simply mist a few times a week.
Bride & Wolfe - the original designers of the modern timber circle shelf. Totally cool.
Arro Home features homewares in patterns that are right on trend. The plush cat and eye cushions that would look great on beds and sofas.
8. TMOD always shows an incredible range of interesting products; this time they presented temporary tattoos, shadow box cards, animal masks, party game packs and my favourite - the enamel camping-inspired picnic set (hip flask for adults only!).
9. Beautifully-crafted moody blue artworks were on show by Me and Amber, screenprinted on paper and timber. These pieces will look great in a child's room right through their teens and beyond.
10. And my very favourite - the match-made-in-heaven partnership between eco-friendly stationery brand Earth Greetings and Victorian artists Inaluxe. This Australian bird and flora collection is beyond stunning. Earth Greeting's own designs are gorgeous too (see second image).
Did you make it to Kids InStyle and Life InStyle in Sydney this year? Or heading down to Melbourne? Any favourites you would like to add below?
