Kids bed linen from AURA + WIN $150 voucher - now closed

[Advertorial] One of the stand-out homewares exhibitors at the Life InStyle Sydney 2015 trade show a few weeks ago was the always on-point AURA by Tracie Ellis. This is the second year that AURA has created bed linen for kids, and the designs just keep getting better. Read on for the latest Winter designs and your chance to win a $150 voucher to spend on anything AURA!

It's style for the little ones made easy, with a Scandi-style palette of mint, charcoal, white, pink and mustard-gold. Add a touch of metallic and blonde wood for a look that is very now.
Or brighten up Wintery days with a splash of neon lime or orange. There are dots, stripes and geometrics to mix-and-match.

The AURA label was created by Melbourne-based Tracie Ellis in 2000 and has consistently delivered on-trend homewares with a confident use of colour and pattern. This year at Life InStyle, Tracie was awarded a Lifetime Achievement Award recognising her achievements in the industry. Well-deserved I say!

My favourite look from the AURA winter bedding collection for kids is this mint, charcoal and rose pink combination with a hint of black teamed with geometric shapes:
Clockwise from top left: mint/smoke reversible Kami quilt cover ($149), smoke Lattice cushion ($49.95), mint Kami standard pillowcase ($29.95 each), black/mint/charcoal/white/pink Cinq european pillowcase ($49.95), mint Luxury Velvet cushion ($59.95) and rose Luxury Velvet cushion ($59.95).

  4. I would choose orange and grey. Grey is very neutral color, which is perfect to be used as background color. And it can make the room look simply modern, which is my favourite interior style. Orange color is warm and bright color, which can stimulate creativity and enthusiasm. This power color will make you feel close to sun or fire flames.

  7. They are all lovely...
but if I had to choose it would be 'Dots' in gold.
Modern, pretty, unique, not age specific - it ticks all the boxes!
And my 4 year old twin girls love "the sparkly gold spots and pink edge"!

  14. Charcoal and mint as it reminds me of my childhood sitting on the great big grey rocks on north wall eating peppermint choc chip ice cream.

  15. Definitely mint and charcoal! Being obsessed with all shades of blue and black has permeated to my children's rooms. Mint would be perfect for our new little girl - who said blue is just for boys? Tiffany blue anyone? 😉

  16. Loving the mint, peach and grey combo! A mix of the feminine and masculine so both my little girl and little boy feel comfortable while the space looks cosy and luxe...and those touches of velvet...just sublime

  17. Black and white accented by grey, mint and yellow. Geometric patterns balance by organic patterns. Great unisex combo! I decorated our new baby's room in these colours as we didn't know if we were having a boy or a girl!

  20. We're on a mission to create the perfect Bat Cave!

Simple white furniture, layered in bold black stripes + striking charcoal geometrics, coupled with splashes of spunky lime green + minted colour!

The perfect spot for Batman to rest his weary self after fighting crime.

  21. While I love colors and some patterns, I have realised that I usually never get bored of black, white and grey. I started decorating our nursery 6 years ago, and it has changed a bit since (I now have two boys in that room -6yo and 3yo- and a baby girl on the way), but what I have stayed true to are neutrals. Bonus point: it's not gender specific.
Thanks for the giveaway Steph and AURA. Severine

  22. I love crisp white, moody grey and matalic pops as a bedroom colour scheme. Nuetral, on trend and unisex, it is versatile enough to accept a bolt of any colour; pink, mint or yellow for individual personality and an easy change!

  23. Loving the blush pink and mustard gold. Very feminine and soft, but just a bit spesh. Timeless and classic, it will journey well as my daughter grows.

  24. All so gorgeous! I love the pink and metallic gold with polka dots the most but very hard to pick just one.

    Love it all.

  25. There was a guy named MINT
Who had a friend that couldn't get the hint.
He wanted more in every way
But she was feeling ever so GREY
So he called her up and they shared a pint

Mint and grey - the perfect colour combo for the upcoming winter's way!

  26. I'm about to paint the girls' room peach/apricot. Had honestly never considered pairing it with mint but they do seem to work beautifully together. Am doing matte gold wall accents also. Just coz gold is very princess-like ;) #winterprincesses

  28. Mint and charcoal is perfect for me. It offers a taste of spring and seasons to come as well as embracing the cool muted tones of winter. Add a minty velvet cushion for texture and cosyness -- and snuggle under!
