Australian bird melamine plates from Lalaland

You know by now that I'm a sucker for good Australiana, and these gorgeous melamine plates from Lalaland Design House fit the bill. They feature gorgeous illustrations by in-house illustrator Clarisse Djaja including a Zebra Finch, Yellow Breasted Sunbird, Purple Crowned Lorikeet and Flame Robin.

I love that they spotlight Australian birds that don't immediately come to mind and I think in that way make this set feel less kitsch than many attempts at Australiana. I would love a set of these plates for my girls; and they are sweet but also sophisticated designs that I would use too. Two thumbs up Lalaland!
