Mint and hot pink kids study space ideas

It's time for our almost-seven-year-old to get a big girl's work space for her homework/sticker collection/school banking/enormous stationery collection. I'm thinking mint and hot pink and put together this little mood board/vignette as inspiration.

I built this little vignette around the neon pink mini Zedd chair (there is neon yellow too!) kindly sent to me by the folks from Freedom from the new Summer 14 collection - so cute. The honeycomb ball is from the contents store (thanks BlogSociety), the neon pink dipped bowl from Wind and Willow (thanks Milk & Honey Photography), the pens from kikki.K, the print is the So Happy Art Print by Team Kitten, and the stool is the white paint dipped stool from Lark.

I'm looking at study desks, but thinking the IKEA gloss table top with wooden trestle legs (spray painted hot/neon pink), and a white pegboard on the wall. Head to Pinterest to check out some of my favourite ideas. I'm a bit stuck on a chair that's both comfy and cute - let me know if you have any ideas. Any other tips for a great study area?

  1. The Ikea Minke desk comes in pink/white. http://m.ikea.com/au/en/catalog/products/art/50252284/ we got the plain white version got the little man and have a "let's keep all the lego off this" theme...

  2. In fact this one with the shelves on the side is the one we got. The shelves can hold files and the long draw holds every pencil/crayon/tape/scissors/glue combination Fergus could ever need (and there are lots!)

  3. Love the shelves. Thanks again Daniella!
