Events: Art Fights Fire - art raffle for Victorian Bushfires

This is another fantastic way to find out about some great artists, maybe win some amazing art, and contribute towards rebuilding the areas devastated by the Victorian bushfires this month.

Gemma Jones (curator of the Outre Gallery and The Kaotic Kraft Kuties website) has teamed up with Outre Gallery to organise the Art Fights Fire raffle and fundraising event on 25th February 2009. Tickets are only $10 and prizes have been donated from more than 20 amazing artists including Aussies Ali J. and Beci Orpin (the illustration shown above is part of the prize pool).

The event will be held at Outre Gallery, 249 Elizabeth St, Melbourne, VIC. Apart from the raffle, artwork will also be auctioned on the evening. Proceeds from the event will be donated to the Australian Red Cross Victorian Bushfire Appeal 2009.

If you can't make the event, you can still buy raffle tickets from Gemma's site (international tickets welcome if you are able to pay $25 postage for prizes). More info at The Kaotic Kraft Kuties.

Get onto it!

  1. The folk family is kinda cute isn't it. Happy birthday to your ma too. Sounds special to have your sister fly in. Hope you had some sister bonding time. I'll be heading up to see my sister middle of the year. We try to catch up a couple of times a year, but busy lives and interstate distances make it tough. She's in Brissie and I'm on the NSW Central Coast. It must be extra tough when oceans divide you.

  2. Thanks katiecrackernuts! We're a family of gypsies, so it's unusual to have us all together. Thanks for stopping by!

  3. LOVE IT! I really want that on my bedroom wall hehe.

    xx Action Wolfe
