Cool Websites: wardrobe_remix
If you're in a fashion rut and feel like you're being dictated to by the big chain stores (and can't see past yet another plaid dress shirt and leggings), take some inspiration from real street fashion on the very cool Flickr group wardrobe_remix. You'll find photos of thousands of real people wearing real (cool) outfits - last count was 40,199 photos. The group was created in 2005 by artist/designer/writer and San Francisco resident Tricia Royal, who posts the best photos each week on her blog bits+bobbins. Much cooler than any department store catalogue!

Mod Oz Barbie
We recently had a great Sunday afternoon Barbie at our friend Cate and Marcello's place and I was very inspired by the formal dinner-in-the-yard theme. The kids were happy on a picnic blanket close by, and had fun picking flowers from the garden to add to the place settings. Much more elegant than crowding around a teak outdoor setting (although those kind of BBQ's are great in their own right). This was very grown-up. And how about the fabulous vintage table and chairs? Very Real Living magazine-inspired I thought.

Stylish Kids: Wasabi Kids
When I went to Japan between High School and University, I loved collecting clothes with crazy Japenglish slogans. Well now you can get them right here in Australia for your little ones, thanks to the folks at Wasabi Kids. They sell the most adorable Japanese design outfits at reasonable prices for the littlest fashionista in your household. The pig pants are insanely cute, and who could possibly resist a giraffe t-shirt with "The Tallest Animal In The Ground. It Lives Free Grass"?
You can find groovy Wasabi Kids clothes in select children's stores (list here).
