Australian artist and wallpaper designer Florence Broadhurst was born in rural Queensland, Australia in 1899 and had a huge impact on the design world throughout her life. The re-release of her designs by Signature Prints has sparked another revival and her work is much-loved around the world.
The Pop-up Store will be open from Saturday November 22nd to Sunday December 21st, 2008 and Florence Broadhurst wallpapers, fabrics, limited edition art, cushions, ottomans, handbags and more will be available for purchase.
The concept of a pop-up store is also very cool - providing locals access to a brand for a limited time, and at the same time gauging consumer interest. Illy had an amazing pop-up cafe in New York when we were living there, and Target has descended upon Times Square with limited time pop-up stores also.
The Florence Broadhurst Brisbane Pop-Up Store will be open Mon-Thurs 10am-6pm, Fri 10am-8pm, Sat 10am-5pm and Sun 12pm-4pm at 67 James St, Fortitude Valley.
Thanks to Alischa from Bespoke Press for the heads-up.

ReplyDeleteyou girls are lucky! and i'm envious. do you think they'd ever do a pop-up store in amsterdam?!
ReplyDeleteHi Pia, thanks for stopping by!
ReplyDeleteIt's such a great guerilla marketing technique - they should totally do a pop-up store in all the cool spots. The girls were telling me that they are looking for a city to launch a flagship store, so the pop-up shop is a good market research tool for them to see where they get the most support. Clever!
i was at James St on Monday, wish I had known!!! will have to go and have a look for sure.
