Australian Artist Spotlight: Ali J.

I'm seeing more and more mixed media art on Etsy, particularly using vintage book pages to layer and add depth to images. An Aussie artist who creates beautiful work in this genre is Ali J., whose dreamy rosy-cheeked women are both modern and classic.

Ali J. is based in Western Australia and specialises in illustrative art, explaining that she aims to "create characters that are familiar yet relatable". I absolutely adore her piece "Kinship" (pictured) which is just one of many beautiful designs. Ali also creates badges, magnets, jewellery, and other crafty items featuring her illustrations.
