Drool-worthy Design: Prints Charming

We are so lucky to have in our neighbourhood 2 artisans who print their own designs on cotton and sell as fabric, for quilting, bedding, pillows, tea towels and adorable kids' clothes. Prints Charming sells through select outlets and their retail store in Piper St, Lilyfield. It's great to support local talent, especially when their designs are so uplifting.

Update September 2008: Prints Charming can now be found at 2 Young St, Annandale, NSW 2038.

Droolworthy Design: The Pfeifer Consultancy Proteus Table

My dear friends Leon and Karla of the Pfeifer Consultancy have collaborated their design geniuses to create the Proteus range of furniture. It's a beautiful marriage of Leon's structural design skills, and Karla's graphic design. The colour is spot-on, and available in dining table 6, 4 and 8 seat), coffee table, console and side table. The pattern can also be custom designed. I can't wait to get one. Contact Leon for ordering information.

Rayman on YouTube

Michel Ancel is a genius. He is the original creator of Rayman, Beyond Good & Evil, the director of the Peter Jackson's King Kong game, and has returned to the Rayman franchise to produce the 4th installment of the game. Yet again, Michel has kicked it up a notch and introduced Killer Bunnies to the Rayman Raving Rabbids on the Nintendo Wii (a match made in heaven). Who doesn't love Killer Bunnies?!? What I am really impressed with are the quirky videos that Ubisoft have created to promote the game, and even more impressed with their high status on YouTube. Hopefully, by tapping in to this site, the Rayman character will finally get some serious brand awareness outside of Europe. Better still, fans are starting to make their own compilation videos which up the cool quotient. I think Let The Bunnies Hit The Floor should be the official video.
