My Favourite Places in the Noho, NYC Area

  • Alleva Dairy - the oldest Italian dairy for great prosciutto, ricotta, mozzarella, parmesan, etc.
  • Ruby's and Eight Mile Creek - Australian food (and great coffee!)
  • The Met - our local (tiny) grocery store
  • Cafe Gitane - Morroccan-styled casual food with Nolita scene
  • Cafe Habana - fun cuban food both from the restaurant and the takeout shop next door
  • Ciao Bella - expensive but yummy ice cream/gelato
  • Mottsu - for the early bird sushi dinner; great prices and lovely small tasty bites
  • Rice - for easy takeaway food
  • Public - for a fancy drink
  • Bread - for good sandwiches and a scene
  • Cowboy Boot Repair - for reliable well-done shoe repair
  • Cafe Colonial - for the Portugese bread and brunches
  • Cafe el Portal - for the best Mexican food I have found in NYC, the great prices and excellent margheritas
  • Pet Planet - for the only pet food store in our area that stores our Nutro dog food
  • The Young Designer's Market - for great designs from emerging designers
  • Pravda - for fancy vodka
  • Edge*NYC - for a fancier version of the Young Designer's Market and the headquarters of Nature vs Future clothing label.
  • Chinatown - for the extremely inexpensive seafood.
  • Dean and Deluca - for amazing gourmet groceries; and just to dream.
